Minister Omar A. Williams is a native of St. James, Jamaica. He was born on April 6, 1979 in White Hall, St. Elizabeth as the sixth of seven children of Reginald (deceased 2010) and Agatha Williams.
His parents introduced him to church when they became members of Kingsway Tabernacle (KWT) United Pentecostal Church of Jamaica (UPCJ) in 1981, and he assumed active membership when he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit on January 1, 1991 and was baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ on January 15, 1991.
Having an aptitude for God’s Word and an earnest desire to serve in the kingdom of God, Omar became involved in Bible Quiz at the age of eleven and served for ten years in that program. Thereafter, he enrolled in the Caribbean Bible Institute and pursued a basic preparatory program for ministry. He was granted Local Ministerial Credentials with the UPCJ, in February 2003, and later upgraded to General Ministerial Credentials. He is currently an Ordained Minister with the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI).
He served extensively in the Youth Ministry of KWT and the UPCJ and his itinerant ministry has impacted lives across the Island of Jamaica, other Caribbean countries, the United States and Continental Europe. He is currently employed to the Pastoral Staff of Oneness Pentecostal Tabernacle in St. Albans, New York. He also serves actively in Section 3 of the New York Metro District of the UPCI.
